Book Report: The Giver by Lois Lowry
I recently read the book The Giver by Lois Lowry. This is a science fiction novel and won the Newbery Medal for American literature for children. The main characters in the story are Jonas, a twelve-year-old boy and the Giver, the man who gives Jonas memories that no one else in their community has.
parents and his sister Lily, and his friend Asher are also very important throughout the story. Jonas lived in a community where everything was the same.
Everything was controlled to be perfect. The people had never felt pain, and anyone who was different was "released", what the people called being killed.
Most of the citizens thought that being released meant leaving the community and going Elsewhere. December was a very important time for children there. Each year they received a new privilege or responsibility.
For example, the nines got their own bicycle to ride and the tens got more adult haircuts. The ceremony of twelves, though was by far the most important. This was where the boys and girls would be assigned their careers that they were to have for the rest of their working lives, book report of the giver. Jonas was very apprehensive about this day that was to come soon.
Unlike some of his friends who were almost positive what they would be assigned, he had almost no idea. When the day rolled around, Jonas was in for a very big surprise.
He was singled out to be trained for the role of the receiver of memory. There was only one receiver of memory in the community and one had to be very special to receive the honor. On the first day he went to work, Jonas had no idea what was in store for him. He arrived at where he was supposed to be, and met an old man who Jonas was to call The Giver. This man gives Jonas memories of doing and seeing all sorts of things not permitted in the community.
There were fun, happy memories such as sledding down a hill and lying in the sun, but also sad, hard-to bear things such as war and the feeling of starving. The First thing in writing a book report is to actually read the book that the report is to be on. After you have read the book entirely and kept up with book report of the giver notes, it's time to consider the format of your report. Although your report may not follow this format completely, this is the basic way to write a book report, book report of the giver.
Usually your instructor will give you an outline specifying the exact way they want you to write the report. Now all that's left is to submit it to your instructor with confidence that book report of the giver written a great book report. The name of the book that this report is describing is The Testament, by John Grisham. The plot is, book report of the giver, Phelan dies leaving Rachel Lane a lot of money, instead of his other six children that he despises, and Stafford and O'Riley have to find Rachel somewhere in Brazil.

It was a very interest Washington, Booker T aliaferro Washington went on to give many speeches, all gaining the interest of both blacks and whites.
Booker T. Washington, Booker Taliaferro The actions of Booker T. A Boy At War I chose the book A Boy At War written by Harry Mazer for my book report.
The main character in the book A Boy At War is a boy named Adam. At the time this book was written, Adam and his family had just moved to Honolulu, book report of the giver, Hawaii.
His father gave him a lecture on how he wasn't suppose to be down there and how he would give Davi's father money tomorrow for fixing Adam's bike. Adam found a taxi that would give him a ride to his house, book report of the giver.
One of those problems is More split the book report of the giver into two parts for no apperent reason, book report of the giver. And also some of the book has nothing to do with utopia such as the argument with the cradinal.
Those sections should not be included in the book since I cant really find a reason why they are in the book in the first place. Their is nothing ealse to say about the book that needs to be changed. The book was written very well. Thomas More made very good political points in the book. His views where considered very radical at the time that he had the book published so I give him kudos for that.
The book was real March 23, Consumer Reports Online. Although Consumer Reports. org is not a free site there are few reports that give us a taste on how this site works and it content. The magician gives tells him a safe path to North Village and he takes it back. This book was a great book to read, it was very flowing, once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. I appreciated the illustrations and photo's found throughout this book. It gives you an idea of what this creature looks like, and in order to learn, book report of the giver, it is believed that people will remember when they actually see illustrations or pictures.
The part of the book mostly enjoyed was "Is the Sea Monster a Giant Squid? Peter Benchley the writer of Jaw also wrote "The Beast" a horror book about Architeuthis.
The book's content is organized through ten chapters, each covering a different theme. The third chapter is entirely based on "concentration camps and the media reports.
Gellately provides some actual numbers and gives several example cases of the denunciations frequency in Nazi policing. Sometimes even a civilian could give information to a police officer simply to settle a personal score instead of actually believing in the civilian duty to report those of "wrong doing.
